My deepest and most heart felt appreciation to Michael Beck and George Wilson for their kindness to me. I have a certain sense of peace in knowing what happened to my sweet friend. I can grieve now, and magnify the good and happy memories that Ann Beck gave to me, and celebrate a friendship that will live FOREVER in my heart!!! Amen, Amen!

My name is Monica McGuire. I was a friend of Ann’s. My most sincere sympathies to Michael, Rachel, and their families. I am mourning and praying for healing for those who have been left with an empty place in their life and in their heart in Ann’s passing. I became friends with Ann in 1991. We met at Aphrodite’s Emporium. Our friendship continued over the years. My Mom, Rena and Sister, Becky have been friends with Ann as well. Ann and I used to go to the Women’s Ritual Group at the Benedictine Monastery in Tucson. Many things we shared. She was simply precious and beautiful. The most intelligent person I have ever known, with so much wisdom and love in her voice and in her heart. I am the friend who saved the hundreds of Zima bottles for Ann’s Primavera dressing, : ) We cured black olives together, (yuck) we watched the baby javelina in her back yard together, we watched the baby owls out her front window, we went to the gem shows, 4th Avenue Street Fairs, we did card readings together at Denny’s, we ate together, prayed together, we walked the grave yard, we danced around the May Pole…….. She was one of the best friends I ever had.... Her quippy responses to my emails stopped coming, so I thought maybe she was traveling… Then the tornado hit us here in Joplin, and things went crazy. I just couldn't stand what I was thinking, and sent a final email, Subject: Hey Ann! Call Me!!!!!!! I haven't heard from you in a while, and when I tried to call you, your phone number was no longer is service!!!!! This tornado stuff has freaked me out, and I just need to know that you are ok!!! "It got returned". I checked the Arizona Daily Star, and that is how I got the news. My heart aches! The shock and anguish are just awful. I have contacted Michael through Facebook.... No reply... She loved Michael and Rachel and the grandchildren so much! She spoke highly of her neighbor, George! I know when Bill passed away, he took a big piece of Ann with him. She loved him dearly. She always referred to his friends, as his Cronies! Ann touched so many lives through her volunteer work and the lovely choices she made in this world, to love... To love willingly!!! She was good to people, to the animals, she loved nature, she loved to make Kitchen Magic, and she was Magic.... Blessed Be Dear Friend!!! I miss you and I will love you forever!!!! I do not want to make anyone uncomfortable or upset… If possible please, someone tell me what happened to my friend. I need to know how she passed away. I am so sad about losing my friend....

So sad to hear about Ann. She was a good person,& always so sweet to me..Ann was passionate in all that was important to her,especially her family! Yes, pets too!
