Bert LEVESQUE Obituary

LEVESQUE, Bert born on June 3, 1947, took his final "flight" departing at 3:00 a.m. on January 10, 2017, after a courageous battle with cancer. His love of flight began in the Royal Canadian Air Force followed by a long career as helicopter pilot with the Tucson Arizona Police Department. Upon "retirement" he then embarked on an admirable, purpose driven profession as Director of Operations then later Regional Manager with Med-Trans. While ensuring the safety of the many Med-Trans pilots, Bert beautifully impacted the lives of all who knew him. Although calm and humbly quiet in demeanor, Bert spoke volumes in the manner in which he conducted his life. Commonly signing off in conversations with "Be Good", Bert exemplified those words to the nth degree. Bert is survived by the love of his life, Connie; stepson, DJ Hart, and children, Jason, Nicole and Lisa. Services will be held Thursday, January 19, 2017 at the Living Word Chapel, 3941 W. Hwy 77, Oracle, Arizona, as follows: Family Viewing: 12:00 Noon, Public Viewing: 12:30, Memorial Service: 1:00. Arrangements by ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Avalon Chapel.

I was saddened to hear of Bert's passing. I was a pilot in TPD's Air Support with him, & it was a pleasure to have worked with him in the skies over Tucson. He was a great guy & an accomplished pilot. He is in my thoughts.

The best uncle and best friend a girl could ever ask for, you truly taught me the meaning behind Rumi's quote: "Wherever you Stand, Be the Soul of that Place." I love you immensely. xo ~ SKY

Connie, my deepest condolences to you and your family. Bert was the definition of a good man. I so enjoyed working with Bert over the many years. He was such a calming influence in a fast paced industry. To Bert coworkers were not just fellow employees, they were family. He will be deeply missed..

Bert was a great guy and a good boss, never quick to jump to conclusions and willing to go to bat for his people. That is not to say he didn't let you have it when you had it coming. A good man I am proud to have had the opportunity to work with.
