I was saddened to hear of Bert's passing. I was a pilot in TPD's Air Support with him, & it was a pleasure to have worked with him in the skies over Tucson. He was a great guy & an accomplished pilot. He is in my thoughts.

Connie, my deepest condolences to you and your family. Bert was the definition of a good man. I so enjoyed working with Bert over the many years. He was such a calming influence in a fast paced industry. To Bert coworkers were not just fellow employees, they were family. He will be deeply missed..

Bert was a great guy and a good boss, never quick to jump to conclusions and willing to go to bat for his people. That is not to say he didn't let you have it when you had it coming. A good man I am proud to have had the opportunity to work with.
