Dale Frederic COOLEY

1939 - 2016

COOLEY, Dale Frederic born March 11, 1939 in Lincoln, Nebraska, passed away peacefully in his sleep on December 2, 2016 in Tucson, Arizona. Dale served his country for over 20 years and retired with the rank of Master Sergeant with the United States Air Force. Following in his father's and uncle's footsteps he was also a Master Mason in good standing with the Ancient Free and Accepted Masonic Blue Lodge. He retired from Raytheon. Dale was an avid camper and jokester; he loved a good laugh, ice cream, and the Dallas Cowboys. He was preceded in death by his parents, Milo and Violet Cooley of Englewood, Colorado. Dale leaves behind his loving wife, Nancy (Urcan) and his three beloved daughters from his first marriage to Jessie (Vandegrift): Kimberley (Eric) Greensway of Tucson, Arizona, Laura (James) Howell of Fredericksburg, Virginia and Victoria (Kurt) Taylor of Round Rock, Texas and his stepson, Jeff Aust of Denton, Texas. Dale was blessed with the wisdom of his older brother, Michael (Lulu) Cooley and the kindness of his younger brother, Robert Cooley. Dale also had the joy and smiles of 12 combined grandchildren and numerous friends and family along the way. Please join the family as they celebrate the life of Dale Frederic Cooley with a Memorial Service, including Visitation and a ceremony by the Tucson Masonic Lodge No. 4, F. & A.M. on Saturday, December 17, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Avalon Chapel, 8090 N. Northern Ave., Tucson, AZ 85704. The ceremony will be from 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. with a brief Visitation following also at Adair. In lieu of flowers, the family would be honored if you would consider a donation in Dale's name to Disabled American Veterans at DAV.org. The family would also like to take this time to thank the amazing staff at Emblem's Loving Heart ALH Hospice Home for their exceptional care and respect of Dale in his final days.
