Jamie was amazing and beautiful.
Her laugh made us laugh.
Her mannerisms were reminiscent of her brothers, yet her spirit was uniquely different and brilliant.
I'm so thankful to have known Jamie and grow up knowing such a wonderful family. I love you all very much.

dear lackey family-
i went to school with jamie since middle school and while i was not one fortunate to know her as well as many did i know from those many the amazing person she was, the light she carried inside and shared with others, and the joy she had in life was obvious if you got a glance of her. As i said while i was not close with her the news was somehow a huge shock to me and i felt a heavyness immediatly, i know what the sudden loss of a family member feels like as i have lost my father and my brother suddenly and with that my deepest sympathies go out to you and her close friends bc the world lost an amazing person and the void of that is like no other she will be remember as one of the greats and continue to live threw your family and her friends as she had many that truly cared deeply for her. I wish you all peace and again i am truly sorry for your loss.

Although I didnt know Jamie personally, I did know of her. I know she was a very friendly positive person with such a great attitude towards everything. She always had a smile on her face and obviously was loved by many and will never be forgotten. We went to school together, and its just so hard to believe this happened to her. From the moment I met Jamie playing softball I knew I would never be the same...She always had a smile on her face and wanted to hold a competition for everything we did. i first met jamie when i was 7 playing thornydale little league softball. i ended up attending tortolita and mvhs w her, although i wasn't lucky enough to build a close friendship w her i have many friends that did have that oppurtunity and i just want you to know that jamie has touched so many people's lives it's pretty incredible! jamie will always be missed n never forgotten that's for sure!! my thoughts and prayers are with you through this difficult time and always. to say the least you raised an amazing girl! rip jamie lackey we all love you and miss you!!

I still can't believe that you're gone...I remember playing ball together when we were about 6, like it was yesterday! Then growing up together & you teaching me how to snowboard! I am deeply sorry for your loss. I wasn't lucky enough to know Jaime, but feel like I did through the many times Billy spoke of her with a light in his eye every time he did. It was evident that JD was his heart and pride, as is Scott. Her spirit is larger than life and will never be contained nor forgotten. JD will continue to inspire others to "live outloud" and live life with passion just as she did. It is how she lived that sets the example for all "Never having met a stranger. A force to be reckoned with. Her positive attitude and energy. Her kind and loving heart"
It is her "dash" that matters most! That is the dash between the dates lived. What a legacy to have at such a young age. More than many ever acquire in the oldest of age.

We were saddened to hear the news of Jaime's passing. Nicole and I talked about the lasting impressions she engrained in our hearts an mlnd. She truly is special. I can still recall how we admired her heart and skills when she was out on the basketball court. Her basketball skills were just a small part of who she was. Having had the pleasure of knowing her, I can say she had a gift of making us all glad to have been a part of her life. I will miss her but am so happy she and her family shared part of her life with me

Terri, Billy, Scott, Am sending my Blessings to all. Knew Jamie since a baby and child riding her bike. That is when I saw her so sharp and friendly, that the nickname, "Toots" came to my mind. Meaning--kitten-like for me. Cute and helpful. One day, I was taking a walk and felt bad. She was riding her bike and I asked her to help me get back to my house. She jumped off her bike and let me hold onto the other handle bar and she guided me back. She was just a small child at the time. Found out she was something special.
