I was very sorry to hear that Ken passed away. He gave me my first job at Colonie "Service" Pharmacy and taught me a lot about customer service, wrapping Russell Stover candy, and driving the Pill Cart. He always kept us on our toes but made it fun at the same time. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Joan, Sheryl, and Jim.

So saddened by your loss, Sheryl & Jim. Your dad will surely be missed. I have the fondest memories of growing up with your family at 1 Iris Lane...he was like a second father to me. Always enjoyed his unexpected visits when he drove through the Adirondacks, too! May you find solace in all of the memories you hold dear to your hearts. Fathers are forever loved.

May happy and loving memories come to replace your grief. Ken was a shining beacon at our support group, and a wonderful mentor to me. He had such a great attitude about life and was always so willing to help in any way he could. In the short time I had come to know Ken, I sincerely am appreciative for his terrific guidance and insight. I am very sorry for your unexpected loss and wish you heartfelt condolences. Julie Hazen

Today the communities of Colonie & Oro Valley lost a true friend, Ken Amsler. To Ken's family I have a ton of fond memories of Ken and the Gang at Colonie Service Pharm on Central Ave. One memory is when working as a young patrol officer I was stopped by a father who needed a script filled for his sick child, I called Ken and he came and opened the store and filled the script for the dad NO CHARGE! THAT IS A MAN WITH CLASS . KEN Rest in peace!

I can still hear your father asking me for "a cold Pepsi please", while working at the pharmacy, or looking at his fire photographs. A great man...glad I got to know him. My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family.
