Loren Moore

Loren (Gene) Moore 83, went to be with the Lord on March 28, 2011. Gene was born in Cleveland, Oklahoma and grew up in Pawnee, where he enjoyed life in a small town. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1945 to 1946. After the war, he attended Oklahoma A&M College in Stillwater, where he was a member of the Kappa Sigma fraternity, and received a Bachelor's of Business Administration degree in 1950. He then got a job at Phillips Petroleum Company. Gene met and married the love of his life, Betty Williams in Spokane, Washington, where they had two daughters. They lived several places over the years until Gene moved his family to Arizona after the Chicago snowstorms in 1968. He enjoyed camping, woodworking and everything about Arizona. Gene was Assistant Vice President Corporate Banking at Valley National Bank in Yuma and Tucson for 17 years. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Betty; his daughters, Vickie (Mark) Brennan and Sandra Moore, both of Tucson. He is also survived by his brother, Norman Moore, of Columbia, Missouri.
