Mildred Lorraine BOYKIN

1925 - 2016

BOYKIN, Mildred Lorraine, (nee Ricigliano) died October 27, 2016. She was 91 years old. Born April 28, 1925 in Brooklyn, New York, Millie married Matthew Anthony Boykin on June 16, 1950 and had two daughters. Millie was a stay at home mother, but in later years worked in banking. She attended college and retired as a senior bank manager. Millie and her husband retired to Tucson in 1987. Millie enjoyed good friends and food, going to movies, plays, card parties and wine tasting. She went to the gym regularly and loved to travel. Her greatest joy came from being with her daughters and their families, who live in Tucson. Millie believed that laughter was the key to a long and happy life. Her favorite saying was to tell her grandchildren to "do good" in all things in life. Millie is preceded in death by her husband, Matthew. She is survived by her daughters, Linda (Robert) Aguirre and Karen (Brent) Woods; grandchildren, Lindsay Baroody, Korie (Adam) Hadler and Matthew Poulton and great-grandchildren, Mason Baroody and Ruby Hadler. A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, November 11, 2016 at Saint Odilia's Catholic Church, Tucson. Memorial gifts can be made to St. Elizabeth's Health Center, Tucson.
