Never a day goes by that I don't think about you Papa. I choose to be happy, not sad, in thinking of you because that's the way you'd want it. Whistling away with a broad smile on your face. You are the greatest person I will ever know, and I would never make it through life without all of your great words. You will forever mean the world to me, and I know I will see you again one day. Until then--you are the eagle flying high over all! xoxo

I was Jim's neighbor from 2005 until he moved to Arizona. I have to say he has been one of the few really close friends I have had in my lifetime. In the Summer and Fall months he and I would go would go fishing every week. When I needed help, all I had to do was call and he would be johnny on the spot, day or night. We really miss him.

I will never forget our fishing trip when we were in the boat by the waterfall or the Harvest moon I saw when I spent the night at your place in the Soo. Scrambled eggs with pepper & hot dogs and beans have continued to be my favorites. You were a dad and a friend. You were the strongest man I knew. Your word was true. I love you and always will. Give mom a kiss for me. Until I am with you I'll be missing you Papa.

It was our privilege to have known Oran (Jim) for the last 6 years. He was my daily coffee buddy while he lived here in Sault Sainte Marie, MI. He was also a fishing buddy and a boat watcher. We will miss him.
