Ann Black Obituary

Ann S. Black Our mother was brought into this world on March 3, 1924. She left is peacefully on March 6, 2011. She was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. After graduating from high school she found her way to Tucson attending the University of Arizona. It was at the UofA where she met the love of her life, Tom Black. After marrying, their travels took them too many places. From Dallas to Detroit to Kansas City but Tucson was always home. Her love of gardening and reading was surpassed only by her love and passion for her family and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, Tom and grandson, Willy. She is survived by her daughter, Laurie; her son, Jim; grandchildren, Shannon, Diana and Jason along with 16 great-grandchildren. In respectfully honoring her request there will be no formal funeral service nor celebration of life. Funeral arrangements being handled by ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Dodge Chapel.

I'm sorry for the loss of your mom. I loved your mom and dad. They were always so kind to me. I had lunch with your mom a few times after my mom died and I always loved talking to her. Your dad would show up every Christmas at the fence company with a few boxes of See's candies!
My family and I send our condolences to your family.

Jim & Laurie - Your mother has always had a very special place in my heart. Unfortunately we did not keep in touch for the last several years but, I do think of her often (every time I dead head a flowering bush!) What a wonderful & gracious lady. She is now with Tom filling him in on all that has happened since he went on.

Ann was beautiful inside and out. She had a gentle way about her and had a gift for putting others at ease. I will always remember her ability to make anything in a garden grow and flourish... I picture her tending garden in heaven. I pray for her family and friends for she will be missed.
