Charlie Trost was always considerate and sweet to me. He had a wonderful sense of humor and was one of the hardest working individuals I have ever met. I know that family was very important to him and he leaves behind a wonderful, loving, and large legacy. Sending my condolences. He will be missed.

My heart, thoughts and prayers are with the Trost Family today and always. Kathy and I became friends in 1971 and I worked at Trost Bake Shop from 1974 - 1982. They were my girlfriends parents, my boss and my friend. I spent countless weekends at their houses in Warren, Tewksbury, and Tucson. My home away from home when I was the U of A.
The last time I saw both Charlie and Elaine, I told them that you can count on one (maybe two) hand the people who have touched your life in a special way... and they are two of those people in my life. What extraordinary people that will be missed but never forgotten.

Dear Trost Family,
I am sorry for your loss. I had the pleasure of working with Elaine and Charles at the bakery in Summit in 1970-1971. This was my first job. They were so generous. Every Saturday they would load paper shopping bags with baked goods for all of the employees to take home. How I miss the Grandmother's loaves!
Sincerely,

Our most heartfelt sympathy to all of the Trost "girls", their families and dear friends from Tucson and Summit. Charlie reached so many people over the years, leaving them with memories of the most delicious treats, his sense of humor and a personality that filled the room. His kindness to us will never be forgotten.

I want to offer my deepest sympathy to the family of Mr. Trost on his recent passing. I had the great pleasure and honor of getting to know Mr. Trost in my clinic over the years and viewed him more as a friend than a customer. I am going to miss him very much and my thoughts are with you all during this difficult time.
Sincerely,
Brian Hutcheson

I never had the pleasure of knowing Mr Trost but in a way I was familiar with him indirectly every day.I grew up in a 2nd floor apartment about 30 yards up the street from the Bakery and woke up to the intoxicating aroma wafting my way every morning.Treats from the best bakery anywhere (with the Majestic a close 2nd) were special.
My condolences to all.

Sorry for your loss, Martha. I remember Charles, your parents and all the good times we had in your home on Beekman Road back in the 1950's. Hope all is well with you.

Safe and happy heavenly journey, Mr. Trost ~ As a Summit native you were a huge part of our family. Now you can pass out your fabulous butter cookies to the angels & saints.
