Last time I got to see Dan was back in the 80's, before I moved from Tucson. But I'll never forget the great times we had target shooting in the desert. I am so sorry to hear of his passing now. He was a great guy, and the only one I ever knew who had a walk-in safe in his living room! Crazy stuff!
RIP Dan.

I just found out about Dan's passing and am so very saddened to hear about it. At the branch where I banked the most, he always greeted me with a smile and a sincere "How are you?". I always looked forward to seeing him because of his kindness and sincerity. And because of his kindness and sincerity, he will always be in my heart.

Dan.....
I just feel so ...dejected still.
I had no idea until I went into our bank on May 20th just before leaving for Paris. This just isn't fair.
You planned very well for your retirement; you were going to 'hit the road'; you were still going to work, caring for people's homes when they were away..I wrote a check to you for $1.00 in the year 2000 to get you off to a good start when the time came.....Damn.

Speaking to you from Paris. (But you already know that now....which, you as a gifted overseer, are enjoying at this moment!)

Mr. Fash,
Sir, I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice-first for our Country when you served with the U.S. Army in Europe during the Cold War and secondly for the citizens of Tucson when you served as a reserve police officer. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.

My Uncle Dan was tireless in his willingness to help others. Always in a cheerful mood, he put a smile on my face. I'll never forget the cross-country trip we took with my Mom (his sister) in his old suburban when I was a kid. Rest in peace Uncle Dan - I love you and you will be greatly missed.

Uncle Dan remains very close to my heart and I think of him often. Among so many stellar human qualities, he exhibited so much deep thoughtfulness for this family and compassion for others. Uncle Dan connected his sister, my mother, to his friend, my father in the late 60's. I love you Uncle Dan & may you rest in peace knowing that you are forever loved and remembered. Blessings!

Dan was a wonderful, caring, helpful and understanding friend and co-worker. I had the privilege of working with him at the bank and often remember the good times we had. He would always laugh at a joke no matter how dumb it was. The world is a better place because of Dan. All will miss him!

Dan was a very gentle, kind man. He never said a mean thing about anyone. I'll never forget when he bought his BMW motor cycle, he called it his babe catcher.

I worked with Dan at the River/Campbell branch for 14 years. He did so many things for customers, above and beyond bank work. He was amazing with names, he remembered everyone's. We had some good laughs, and he encouraged so many younger folks into following their dreams. You always new when the gun shows were in town, and the estate sales too. Anyone who needed a 2 dollar bill knew they could come to our branch and find them. I remember on one of his last road trips, he made it a special stop at a cemetery and took pictures of grave stones for a customer. She had not been able to get back there, but Dan went out of his way to find her relatives graves took pictures and he put them into a binder for her to have. When I went to see him in the hospital last Saturday,we had such a nice visit. My heart and prayers go out to his family.

Dan worked with me at the Valley National Bank in Willcox, back in the late 60's for a period of 2 weeks. We lost our Utility Clerk and he came in to serve as a temporary replacement until we found a replacement for the position. I got reacquainted at River Road and Campbell when I went in to cash a check and he waited on me. We still remembered the time in Willcox many years ago. May he rest in Peace

Dan was a great neighbor to my wife and I for the last 28 years. Living across the street from us, he was friendly, quiet, and unassuming - the ideal neighbor. He will be greatly missed by both us and the entire neighborhood.
