Doris B. Depugh

1926 - 2014

Doris B. Depugh (Kundtz) 87, passed peacefully into the arms of her Savior on May 5, 2014. She was born to John and Bertha Kundtz in Cleveland, Ohio, on December 19, 1926 and came to Tucson with her parents in 1938. She graduated from Tucson High School in 1944 and the University of Arizona in 1948. Doris is preceded in death by Don, her husband of 53 years, and son, Douglas. She taught PE at Doolen Junior High for a brief time. She was a devoted wife, mother, and homemaker. She loved watching UA sporting events and was a member of the UA Women's Letterman's Club, Chi Omega Sorority, as well as a long time member of the Skyline Women's Bowling League. She loved the outdoors and spent many wonderful summers with Don at their Pinetop cabin. She is survived by her four children, David (Arma), Donna Hawkins (Jim), Daniel (Shawna) and Denise Pothoff (Tom). She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, Patricia, Ricky, Andy, Lindsay, Christopher, Jessica, Kyle, Ashley, Julia, Ryan, Kelsey and Maddie; great-grandchildren, Austin and Brooklyn. Visitation will be held Thursday, May 8, 2014 at ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Dodge Chapel, 1050 N. Dodge Blvd., from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Mass will be held on Friday, May 9, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph Parish, 215 S. Craycroft Rd. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association at www.alz.org/donate.
