I live in Tucson, and bought a used golf putter at Goodwill. It had a nameplate on it: Jerry Vanice.
Why not look up Jerry, and see the history of this putter? So I did just that and learned that Jerry was once president of the Omaha Grain Exchange, and was active in reducing global hunger.
I couldn't find an obituary for Jerry (Jerome, in full) but I did find Mrs. Vanice here. She sounds like a good match for Jerry, in their shared active interest in public good.
I know neither of you directly, but it was fascinating learning about - and being inspired - by you.

So sorry to hear of her passing. I loved her so much.
A wonderful matriarch for our family. She will be missed.
