Jeanette Myrtle Nelson

NELSON, Jeanette Myrtle, went to be with her Lord on June 1, 2011. She was born in Oakland, NE on October 17, 1930 to Ivan and Myrtle Olson. Jeanette was a loving daughter, sister, mother, wife and caring friend to all. She worked with her husband, Irwin on their farm and later had a career in cosmetology. After moving to Tucson she helped with grandchildren and worked at Walmart up until a year of her passing. She was a constant support to her children and enjoyed all of her grandchildren by coming to their school and sports events. She frequently went back to NE to visit her son's family and see old friends. Her favorite hobbies were fishing and sewing and was very active in her church activities. Jeanette was preceded in death by her husband, parents and brother, Donald. She is survived by a brother, Richard (Kim); children, Mike (Joyce), Teresa Mackey, Linda (Pete) Nielson, David (Barbara) and Deanna (Jeff) Mohr. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 18 great- grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held at Christ's Church of Tucson, 2727 S. Langley Ave., Tucson, AZ at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 7, 2011. Fellowship to follow at the church. In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made to Peppi's House Hospice, 2715 N. Wyatt Dr., Tucson, AZ.
