Louis ST. ONGE Obituary

ST. ONGE, Louis T. passed away on Friday, March 25, 2011 of congestive heart failure at Casa de la Luz at the Fountains of La Cholla, Tucson. His legacy will be as a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Louis is survived by Olive, his loving wife of 67 years, his four children, Carol Ferguson and husband Michael of San Diego, CA, Michael and wife Linda of Fairfax, VA, Suzanne Cooke of Dallas, TX, and Serena St. Onge and husband Craig of Marana, AZ; four grandchildren, Deborah (Brent), Michelle (Richard), Justin (Gigin), and Laura; five great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. Louis was born in Holyoke, MA on March 5, 1920 to Arthur and Delia St. Onge (nee La Clair). His parents and a younger brother, Homer, pre-deceased him. He attended local Catholic and public schools and graduated from Holyoke High School in 1938. He attended the University of Vermont at Brattleboro, VT. He served in the US Army and US Air Force during WWII and the Korean War. He retired in Feb 1962 as a SMSGT. All his military service was in the medical services. He accepted a position with the US Public Health Service in 1963 and retired in 1973. He and his wife Olive moved to Tucson in August 2006 from San Diego, CA. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Arrangements by the NEPTUNE SOCIETY AND ADAIR FUNERAL HOME, Dodge Chapel. Services were private.
