Richard Moskoyes Obituary

MOSKOYES, Richard "Richie" Allen, age 50, Master Plumber, passed away at his home in Tucson, Arizona on Sunday, April 10, 2011. He was born on September 8, 1960 in Pittsburgh, PA. As a young man, his family relocated to Tucson, where he studied and learned his plumber's trade. He was a kindhearted man who loved the beauty of nature and spent many hours exploring the mountains surrounding Tucson and fishing the local lakes. Richie loved to sing in his church's choir and was active in helping the homeless. He always had a joke and a bright smile for everyone he met. Richard is survived by his three daughters, Athena, Mary Helen and Sonia; three grandchildren, his mother, Lillian Moskoyes; his brother, Robert and three sisters, Christine, Kathleen and Lily and their spouses and families; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends further survive him. His father, William Moskoyes, preceded him in death. Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, April 16, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at the Abbie Loveland Tuller School Chapel located at 5870 East 14th Street in Tucson, Arizona. In lieu of flowers, donations will be accepted at the chapel for final expenses or donations can be made to Joshua House, Brewster Center or Casa de los Ninos. Wow, Richie "Monks" was one of the great kids at Saint Norbert's in Pittsburgh. I have only found memories of sleep overs, swimming and shack building with him and Bobbie "Crobb" and my brother Harry "Fiddo". I missed you all when your family moved from Pittsburgh in 1978 especially Christine. Memories of Richie and his wonderful family will always be a part of me. God Bless you all.

Hey dad, It took me a second to find this website and I'm so happy that I did. You were the greatest dad in the world and I just miss you so much but when I read all of these great words people have to say and how much joy you brought to so many it fills my heart with so much happiness. I don't why you left me so soon, God just has greater other plans for you. You watch out for me now, I can't make it with you.

I had a chance to meet and work around Richard last year. He was always very helpful and knowledgeable. I was going to work with him as his "gopher" as he called it, while he taught me a little about plumbing. I guess God had other plans.

Athena, Sonia and MaryHelen, so sorry for your loss of a wonderful person. My deepest sympathy. Treasure the memories you have and believe that Richard is in a much better place. I know the pain of loss can feel unbearing at times, pray together, laugh together and remember together, I am sure that is what Richard would want you to do. May your sadness be lessened by precious memories of Richard. God bless you alll.

I am deeply saddened at the passing of Richard. I work at Frank's Restaurant and every Friday morning he, along with his co-workers, would come in for breakfast. Richard would order 1 egg sunny side up and the other over med. I would laugh every time. In the 15 or so years that I knew him, not one time did I not see a smile on his face. NEVER did I hear a mean word from his mouth. God truly picks the finest flowers for his bouquet. You are sorely missed friend.
