Ruth Ella Johnston Matney 91, of Tucson, AZ passed away on April 3, 2011. Born in Remsen, Iowa to Dorothea and Seymour Johnston, June 2, 1919. A gifted pianist, she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in music education from Kansas State University where she met her husband, the late Clayton Matney. They were married for 65 years and are survived by three children and spouses, two grandchildren, two nephews and a niece. A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Friday, April 15, 2011 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, 1200 N. Campbell in Tucson. Memorial flowers and monetary donations may be made directly to the church. Monetary donations may also be made to Friends of Hospice. Arrangements by ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Dodge Chapel.
