Yvonne ENDRIZZI Obituary

ENDRIZZI, Yvonne (Barbot) 81, of Tucson, AZ, passed away December 26, 2017. Yvonne was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 60 years, John Endrizzi. Born in Hyattsville, MD, she was the first of nine children. In 1955 while studying nursing at the U of Maryland she met and married John, the love of her life. In 1963 they moved to Tucson where John headed the Plant Breeding Dept at UofA. Together they raised their five children and became active members of St. Thomas Moore Catholic Newman Center. Yvonne developed and shared her passion for the Sonoran desert volunteering (25 years) as a docent at Sabino Canyon. Yvonne aka "Nonna" devoted her life to supporting her family. Her profound love for people, nature and God were truly inspirational. Her beautiful spirit will forever be missed. Yvonne is survived by her five children, their spouses, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A memorial and reception is scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Saturday, March 31, 2018 at the Molino Basin Campground. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Yvonne's name by check to: Sabino Canyon Volunteer Naturalists, 5700 N. Sabino Canyon Road, Tucson, AZ 85750. Condolences can be sent care of Colette Endrizzi, 2620 N. Warren Street, Tucson, AZ 85719. Arrangements by ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Dodge Chapel.

I became friends with Yvonne and later Johnny while all of us were in the Sabino Canyon Volunteer Naturalists' children's program. Yvonne loved children and people. She was a very sincere, intelligent, caring, and friendly person. I will not forget her and her positive impact on me.
