Delia Dreeszen Obituary

Delia M. Dreeszen born on March 2, 1934, died on March 21, 2011, of a long-time illness. She was loved by many, and our loss will be great. Delia was a resident of Sierra Vista, Arizona for over 30 years, but her hometown was Tucson, Arizona, where she passed away. Delia graduated from Tucson High School. She spent most of her career working for TUSD, and retired from Sahuaro High School. Some of her hobbies included dancing, oil painting, traveling, spending time with her children and grandchildren vacationing in Rocky Point, Mexico. She also volunteered at the Sierra Vista Regional Hospital. Delia was preceded by her husband, Glen Dreeszen and her mother, Manuela Ortiz. "Dee" never ceased to care for her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her two brothers, Manny (Renee) Felix and Felix (Leticia) Ortiz; three daughters, two stepchildren and their spouses, Sylvia (Ed) Proulx, Janice (Jeff) O'Neill, Lynnette (Terry) McCormick, Cindy Yarborough, Robert Dreeszen. Her grandchildren and their spouses are: Jonathan (Renee) Proulx, Naomi (Isaac) Federiuk, Alyssa Proulx, Yvonne, Nichole and Janelle O'Neill, Matthew (Erin) Huls and Taralyn (Ken) Jones; six great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Memorial Service to be held at a later date. Arrangements by DESERT ROSE CREMATION AND BURIAL.
