Margareta Roberts Obituary

Margareta Roberts 76, passed away at home on March 18, 2011. She was born on October 26, 1934 in Bitburg, Germany to Anton and Agnes Peifer. A wonderful wife and mother, she also worked for TUSD and enjoyed the outdoors. She loved being by the ocean, hiking, camping, Bunco and other games. Predeceased by husband, Lee Chester and son, Lee Anthony. Survived by children, Michael (Silvia), Steven (Jan), John (Tina), Sherry, Karen; grandchildren, Lee, Logan, Spenser, Anton, Brennan, Nicole and Tim; siblings, Liesel (Erich), Inge, Gisela (Hubert), Hans (Maria) and many nieces and nephews. She'll be missed by her many friends and family including Tine, Richard and Gina. A Funeral Mass will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 26, 2011 at Our Mother of Sorrows Church, 1800 S. Kolb. Arrangements handled by DESERT ROSE CREMATION AND BURIAL.

Mike, Steve, John, Karen and Sherri; Your mother was always a special part of my childhood growing up. We had some memorable times growing up as "base" kids and your mom was a giant part of it. I'm so sorry to hear of the loss of your mother. I first met Mrs. Roberts in 1988, when she worked at Carrillo School (I was in 4th grade). She was my after-school extended day teacher who taught me German and also taught me how to cook some great German food!! I have never forgotten her....she even went to my quinceanera when I turned 15. She was a lovely lady who had a beautiful smile, she always seemed so happy and was so kindhearted. She will be missed and never forgotten. May God bless your family during this difficult time.
