Wade, I was saddened to learn that you left us all so many months ago. Serving with you on the AAED Board of Directors was a very special time in my life. You were a very special person!! Than we stayed connected as friends on FaceBook! Than you moved on and I moved on as well...Arizona to Fort Worth, Texas. Life is just full of many pathways!!! Thanks for sharing that pathway with me for many years!!

To Wade,
My good friend; you left us too soon. How I wish I had talked to you on your birthday. When I left you that message I had no idea it would be the last time I would call you. I still have your text from that day locked in my phone. I am really glad I got to see you when I was in town over Thanksgiving. I had a great time. I am so sorry that it was our last.
There are a lot of things I am going to miss about you Wade. I will miss your sense of humor. You were one of the funniest people I know. You were always smiling and could put a positive spin on almost any bad situation.
You were always very good to your friends. You helped out whenever possible and were always there to listen.
You took me to sporting events I would not have been able to see on my own, (or at least the tickets would have been much more expensive; and not as good). We had a lot of great times together; from Todd's apartment hangout when we were 19, to California trips. I even managed to go to Lake Powell with you on one trip although now I wish I would have gone more often. We had some great times when you visited me in Seattle. We went to the rain forest in the Olympics twice 15-20 years ago and I have not been back since. You did a great job of keeping in touch with me even when I lived out of Arizona for 12 of the last 25 years.
I will think of you every time the UofA plays basketball or football, and how I used to call or text you when something good would happen for our team. I will also think of you when the Cowboys play the GIANTS, (though probably not fondly if your Cowboys are winning).
I miss you Wade and I love you. You meant a great deal to me, and I am very sad to see you go.

Wade, I would have loved to have been at your service yesterday. I can only imagine the number of people who were there to celebrate your life. You were an incredible individual with many special gifts. Our class of '84 reunions will definitely look and feel different...but I can assure you...we will reserve a big, cushy chair just for you. Though we haven't seen each other in years it was great to be back in touch through our networking over the last 3-4 months. It's like we never skipped a beat. I will never forget the golf, road shows and conferences we attended together. I still hear your laugh! God Bless my friend!

Wade - Thank you for making the world a better place. You weret Mr. Reliable. Anytime I needed something, you were always there. In college you helped with ASUA, post college you were the liaison to kept friends connected, and a few years back you took care of my home loan. Most importantly, you showed people how to treat other people...with respect, humor, and love. You are missed.

Dear Wade,
I've been thinking about you alot. Going between how unfair it is that you were taken from us so young, to the gratefulness I feel from having known you as long as I did. You made an impact on people my friend. A very positive impact on everyone who was fortunate enough to know you. Thank you Wade for being my friend. And while I'm sad that I'll never hear you on the other end of the phone with that booming voice saying "G-Money!", it'll always ring in my memory. May you rest peacefully. Wado...it's taken me days to finally write this...We shared so many laughs, heartfelt talks, triumphs and you made every get together a memory to cherish forever. I'll miss our NASCAR chats, concert days and happy hours. You always remembered the most import dates in my life and made sure to always give me a call or stop by the store to check on me. Wade - I vividly recall sitting on the back patio of the Inn of the Mt. Gods overlooking the lake drinking margaritas with you, Garret and Brad after one of our annual Fat Sweats golf outings.

I will deeply miss you. We shared some wonderful times together. We worked and played hard. I always admired and respected you for your warm heart, intelligence, and sense of humor. Anyone who called Wade "friend" was truly blessed. Wade was a once-in-a-lifetime person. He made my life richer, happier and funnier. Golf with Wade was an adventure, always hilarious and special! Lunch with Wade was an adventure, always hilarious and special as well! I will cherish the moments I shared with Wade and pray that he knew how much I loved him. Wade was a gift, share with us for all too short a time, but I hope that I will one day hear that laugh again!

Wade, Words can't express the pain and grief so many of us have experienced since learning of your passing away. You were the true definition of a friend, and the type of friend everybody only wished they could have. I clearly remember meeting you for the first time during our days at the U of A, and will always cherish the wonderful memories of our excursions to Mazatlan during Spring Break. You were and always will be a special person and friend, and your legacy will never be forgotten. RIP my friend.

I've spent the last several days thinking about Wade.....his generosity, his compassion for people, his sense of humor and his love of economic development. As many have mentioned Wade was a true friend, a gentleman, and a jolly soul. I remember one time my wife and I had a chili cook off and Wade was one of the Judges. There was a couple of times I thought Wade wasn't going to be able to finish the competition because the chili was to hot for him. Good times my friend. I am a better man for knowing you so I thank you for our time spent together. I will not say good bye but I shall see you later.

I cannot think of a classier guy in all of Arizona economic development than Wade. As many have already stated, Wade was kind, generous to a fault, well liked, respected by all and had an incredible, if somewhat wicked, sense of humor. He will be sorely missed by his legions of friends. Bye "W".

First time I met Wade he was speaking at a conference in Sedona. He had forgotten his tie and I loaned him mine. Every time I saw him after that he would ask me if I had a tie for him. Wade was all about hospitality and caring for others. He contributed greatly to his community and to the heart and soul of all those who were fortunate enough to know him. See ya later, W.

You were a great fellow employee and and the best friend. I will miss you beyond words. So many great times laughing, so many spirited discussions about local politics and economic development. I have such fond memories of Wade. I just had breakfast with Wade before Christmas and planned to meet again soon. We have kept in touch since my days at AAED and Sundt. I found him to always to be such a loving and caring person with a great sense of humor and honesty. I will remember you always Wade. You will be forever missed.

Wade, we're blessed, aren't we? Neighbors reunited at a high school reunion. Within a few months, both of us struck down by a devastating blow. I can only see it now as fate, you and I brought together to hold each other's hand through the worst of our years. We asked nothing from each other, and in turn, we gained everything. You were honest in the face of hurt, a gentleman always and a man of integrity who rooted me with a smile. My words brought us together and my words cry in your departure. Wade, always the first one to the BBQ last one to leave my house, some of the greatest days were sitting on the couch screaming at the TV trying to get the UA football, basketball, baseball and softball players and coaching staff to "see" it our way! Never have I known a person so genuine, funloving with a HUGE heart as you my friend. My life was blessed with your friendship and I thank God for our time together. NO BAD DAYS.... love you Wado!

My sincere condolences to all of Wade's family and friends. I don't know a person who didn't like Wade. Always fun to be around. Wade was a major force in getting AAED back on course when he was the AAED President.

We were heartbroken to hear of this sad news. Wade was a big guy with an even bigger heart - always willing and able to help in any circumstance. I remember meeting Wade so long ago through the Arizona Association of Economic Development. He was delightful, positive, and charismatic. Wade was a wonderful human being and will be missed by all that knew him. My sincere condolences to his family.

Many of us from Wade's high school spent a wonderful weekend with him at our 25th reunion in October 2009. We reconnected with Wade in a special way. I know Wade loved every minute of it, because I spent 2 very late nights with him. He wasn't going anywhere, and neither were the rest of us, because we couldn't get enough of the closeness and comraderie we felt with our old friends. I'm thankful for that time with him.
Rest in peace 'old friend.' You are loved by many and will be greatly missed.

My heart breaks for Wade's family. Wade introduced my husband and me to Lake Powell...we will never forget that trip. We just saw him at a baseball game and talked about his upcoming trip. He will be missed by many.
