I have many warm memories of spending time with my family (Jay Hansen family) and the Whites at their ranch in Red Rock. Pat and his lovely wife, Gloria, would take us horseback riding and produce picking for corn and melons. We always enjoyed a barbecue and a swim followed by a crazy dash to the car to avoid the many toads that populated the ranch at night.
Pat and my dad were great friends from their days at the U of A. With their buddies Gene McGlamery and Pete Bennett, Pat and Jay enjoyed many fabulous adventures, mostly in Mexico. Their many tales kept us all laughing.
Pat was a wonderful man...the world has lost a true gem. I know my dad was in heaven to welcome his dear friend and reminisce about the good old days with a cold beer in one hand and cigar in the other.
