Sally Gale THORNDIKE

THORNDIKE, Sally Gale and Carl Sally passed away peacefully July 26, 2017. She was born October 13, 1940 in San Mateo, CA. She is survived by sister, Judeth Thorndike, Hendersonville, NC; son, Tom Silan, and daughter, Darlene Lucarelli, both of Pittsburgh, PA and nephew, Larry L. Stewart. Sally enlisted in the US Army in 1958-59 receiving an honorable discharge. She graduated from college obtaining her nursing degree in the State of Maine where she worked as a director of Nursing. Sally and her husband, Carl lived in Michigan where she worked as a registered nurse and moving on to Arizona working for the State until her retirement in 2001. She will be missed dearly by those who knew her love of nursing. She lovingly cared for her husband, Carl Sirk until his passing in 2004. A private remembrance ceremony will be held in her honor.
