Leroy Walter BROCKBANK

BROCKBANK, Leroy Walter 11/30/1940 - 10/19/2017 Leroy was born in Bisbee, Arizona, to Walter Brockbank and Comilla Taylor Brockbank. He graduated from Bisbee High School in 1958. Leroy attended the University of Arizona, was active in Delta Chi fraternity, drummed in bands, and graduated in 1963. President of the National Alumni Association for the UofA, he remained close with his college and fraternity friends throughout his life. He worked in construction, real estate, and property management, and was always looking to "connect the dots." In 1966 Leroy married Jimmie Claire Rodgers from Pine Bluff, Arkansas, and they lived in Tucson. They were married for 51 years, and had two children, Tracee (Dennis) and Taylor (Jennifer). In 1976 the Brockbanks moved to Del Mar, CA, and Leroy continued to connect the dots in business and in friendships. He loved traveling, the Wild West, and ranching, and most of all spending time with his family. A devoted friend and beloved husband, father, and Granddad, Leroy is survived by his wife, Jimmie; children, Tracee and Taylor and their spouses; grandchildren, Jake and Kayli, Amanda and Ava; sister, Glenda (Paul) and family, and many step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Now this cowboy can ride off peacefully into the sunset. Services will be held at a later date in both California and Arizona.
