Richard Gail Obituary

Richard M. Gail born October 3, 1923 New York, NY went to meet our Lord Sunday, May 15, 2011 while in his home surrounded by his family. Richard was a veteran of the US Marine Corps (Semper Fi) and survived the battle of Iwo Jima. Predeceased by his son, Stephen Richard Gail, 1966. Survived by his wife, Ann Gail; children, Patti Gail-Waugh (John) of Columbus, Ohio, Brad Gail (Millie), Danielle Gail and Richard Michael Gail (Crissy) of Tucson, AZ; 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Richard was an avid fisherman and a beloved member of Serenity Baptist Church. Memorial will be held Wednesday, May 18, 2011 at 12:00 noon at Serenity Baptist Church located at 15501 W. Ajo Way, Tucson, AZ. Arrangements by FUNERARIA DEL ANGEL.

Mr. Gail,
Sir, as a fellow Marine I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for our Country when you served in the USMC during WW II-especially at Iwo Jima-the bloodiest battle in the history of the Corps. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.
