What a blessing to have known Retha and to have called her a friend. We will always remember what wonderful friends she and Larry were to our dad, Woody Shumate. We will cherish the times they stopped to visit us in Michigan on their way to Canada. So many great memories of a sweet, caring person who's now at home with Jesus, Larry, Tammie, her dad and many, many more.

I remember the wonderful times we spent together as young girls. We walked in the woods, waded in branches & creeks, and enjoyed the aroma of wild crab apple blossoms in the springtime. She was a favorite cousin of mine. I loved her very much.

I met Retha when we both worked at Tuesday Morning. Retha was always so kind and funny. Such a sweet Lady. I will miss her. RIP Retha.
