David CARBAJAL Obituary

CARBAJAL, David James 55, ended his 17 year battle with cancer on January 3, 2018, when he was received into the arms of our Lord. He was preceded by his parents, Claudio and Carol and his first wife, Shelly. He is survived by his wife and best friend, Jeanne; sister, Claudia (CJ); brothers, Duane (Nellie) and Mark; stepmom, Frances; nephews, Terry, Jeffrey and Rob, Hector and Joe and nieces, Kendall, Maria, Shelby and Theresa, many aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends. David was a Tucson native and graduated Sahuaro High School Class of '80. He had been a part of the Jim Click family for over 12 years at Holmes Tuttle Ford. He loved working on vehicles, but none more than his prize 65 Chevy pickup given to him by his dad when he was 16. He enjoyed bowling on the Kings and Queens League since 1998. He also enjoyed pool, darts, and all kinds of electronics. Dave never met anyone he didn't call a "friend". Memorial Services will be held 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, January 7, 2018 at EAST LAWN PALMS MORTUARY, 5801 E. Grant Rd., Tucson, AZ. In lieu of flowers, please donate to your favorite charity.

David, I will always remember your kindness and acceptance of me as your step-sister when I first came to Tucson in 1990. You welcomed me into the family immediately. Always full of laughter and smiling. I will remember you forever as doing a little jig while stealing a piece of ham from the Easter platter. You said you were doing your "Happy Ham Dance". I know you are teaching the angels that little dance right now. We will miss your shining light. R.I.P.

I love you David! You, Mom, and Dad give each other a big hug for me. You were always there for me to listen, give the best advice, and help me however you could. I'm so thankful that you convinced me to come back to Tucson. You taught me so much and I was learning from you until your last breath. Be at peace now, my loving brother! You cared for us all so well in this life that we can only hope to continue caring for each other with the same ease. Vaya con Dios!
