I became fast friends with John. I thoroughly enjoyed our conversations about sports. I admired and respected him as a husband, father, businessman and most of all friend. I truly will miss him.

We became friends of the Kocis family through our friends father Ray. We started going every Friday night for a fish fry. We went to Julies college graduation then back to Cattletown for dinner when we met John. He was very kind and appreciative that we went to her graduation. He paid for our dinner which was so unexpected. John is now in Gods arms and watching over his family. RIP John

John and I grew up together on Detroit's east side - starting at 5 years old. He was my best friend and my best man at my wedding. I will miss him greatly. What a beautiful, generous, and kind person he was. John made the world better.

John was a wonderful and kind neighbor. He always greeted us with a big smile, made us laugh to brighten our days, and helpful advice. Our hearts go out to his family. He will be truly missed by us and all those who knew him.

Johnny you will always be in my heart. We grew up together as cousins and friends and my big brother. He was kind, considerate, had great sense of humor and a gentle soul.
