Kevin Charles Kessler 48, of Sahuarita, AZ, born March 6, 1966 Toledo, OH, passed away May 25, 2014. Kevin was fun loving, enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson Motorcycle and Pabst Blue Ribbon Beer. He was a US Army veteran. Survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Michelle; daughter, Alissa Binkowski (Jason Ryan); son, Chance (Taylor Pogue); brother, Tyson; sisters, Tracy and Tara Kessler; father, Charley Kessler (Robyn); mother, Lynn Kessler; granddaughter, Ava Ryan. I just learned of Kevin's passing. I worked with him at my uncle's store, Tony's Country store. We had good times at work. I remember when he got his ear pierced and my uncle didn't think it was appropriate. Sad to have lost contact with him. He was an awesome person. Everything I've read from everyone brings back the memories. Sorry for your family's loss.

I have already offered condolence to the family & I will miss Kevin dearly, but I had one last thing to offer. When my grandpapassed away 9 years ago my grandma said something to me tgat really helped. She said, it's not always about the quantity if time you had with someone that really matters, it's the quality if that time. It really is true, Kevin was a great guy who touched many lives which was extremely evident this past Friday. He really made that time count though. That meant a lot to me when my grandma said that & I know it applies to Kevin as well, it is terrible that he was taken so early, but I know that he made the time he was her of true quality. He will always be in our heart & thoughts.

Kevin had been my good friend since about 8th or 9th grade in Bedford in Temperance Michigan where we grew up. We had so many good times during our school years and after school all the people in that picture I posted from Steve & Sandi's all hung around for years after we were out of school, Kevin and Michelle's & Steve and Sandi's and our kids played together before Kevin & Michelle moved to Arizona. We had countless good times together and there are millions of crazy & hilarious stories We all could tell. Kevin was definitely a people person. He loved family & friends and that was very important to him. I was absolutely blown away by the amount of people who were at his memorial service and the wake afterward. People at the legion Hall were all telling stories about how much they loved him & how he affected their lives. I heard like 300 people signed the guest book at his service. That place was filled to capacity for sure I've never seen anything like it. I loved Kevin a lot he was like a brother to me but I had no idea how many friends he made in Arizona. When that many people care that much about a person that says it all. And there were several people that just even I know that loved Kevin a lot but weren't able to go so there good have been several more people there. What else can you say to describe the kind of person he was. He was a stand up guy who stood up & spoke up for what he believed in. He loved and took good care of his family and always knew how to make friends and have a good time where ever he went. He definitely lived life to it's fullest and on his own terms all the way. He will be missed so much by all of us & my heart and thoughts go out to all of his family. I'm glad Tammy & I were able to be with them for at least a short time during this terrible tragedy.

There are a few people so full of life, so bright and smiling, they bring great joy to others. Kevin was one of those blessed souls. Upon hearing about his accident left me in shock. My heart is heavy with a profound sadness. I was fortunate to have worked with Kevin on many projects over the last several years. His gentle nature, inviting personality, quick smile and laughter still resonate in me. I cannot imagine the sorrow his family is experiencing. Their loss is our loss. Their pain is all our pain. I weep for a man, a warrior, a true soul, a light upon mother earth, now gone. He shall be deeply missed, never forgotten. Maya Angelou said "I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel." This was the resounding theme at my dear friend Kevin Kessler?'s Celebration of Life yesterday. All the wonderful stories shared were a testament to the man who made all his friends feel like family - he was the first to extend his hand in friendship and the first to help a friend in need. He has forever left an impression on my heart and I am a better person for having known him. Our friend Danny Boy challenged Karl Steele? and I to go out and "Be Kevin...be that guy...be the first ones to say hello to a stranger, shake their hand, and say Hey! Wanna beer? - you never know what a difference that can make". It did indeed make a difference for us. Thank you Kevin, for all the memories and lessons. RIP.
