Grandma really made me feel special. One year when she was visiting I was working on educational flyers trying to drum up support to initiate a recycling program for my school. She mentioned to me at a different time that she was telling her friend that she better recycle the bottle or can she had or her granddaughter would be disappointed. The fact that she remembered something that meant so much to me made me feel like she really knew me and made me feel special. Also, she taught me the value of a written letter. It's too bad she didn't get to meet her great-grandson, my son Ian.

Ma, you lived a hard working and loving life. You thought of all your children's friends as your own. I am one of them. May you live a new life, pain and worry free with your maker and loving husband and Grandchildren. Love and never forgotten, one of your adopted daughters, Camille
