Clarence Fieber Obituary

Clarence F. Fieber died peacefully on Saturday, May 28, 2011. He was born on May 15, 1920 in Saukville, Wisconsin. His parents were Frank and Anna Girard Fieber of Saukville, Wisconsin. He is preceded in death by seven brothers and two sisters. He is survived by his wife, Adeline of 66 years of marriage. He has five children, Marge Germain, Barbara Napier (Larry), Jim Fieber (Sharon), Jane Hart (Steve) and Laurie Bley (Donald), all of the Tucson area, and also eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. He lived in Wisconsin for 42 years, during which time he operated a 140-acre family farm until he moved to Arizona for health reasons of his family. He was a WWII veteran serving until 1945 and married Adeline in June of that year. Their five children were born in Wisconsin, but they ended up moving to Tucson, Arizona in 1963. Clarence loved his dairy farm, so he felt fortunate to find a job at the University of Arizona Experimental Dairy Farm in Tucson as a dairyman. He retired after 19 years but continued working as a Handy Man until age 90. He was active with the St. Vincent de Paul Society, church choir and also played baseball three times a week for the last 27 years with the Tucson Old Timers senior baseball team. We were very blessed to have him in our lives! Visitation at BRING'S BROADWAY CHAPEL, 6910 E. Broadway on Thursday, June 2, 2011 from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m., scripture service 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass at St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church on Friday, June 3, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. with burial to follow at Our Lady of the Desert in All Faith Cemetery.

Looking for Laurie Fieber. This is Jeff Johnson from IL. We use to be pen pals in the late 70s after meeting in St Germain Wi. Sorry for using this space for this purpose.

The Fieber Family have been our good friends for these past 45+ years. We, too, feel their loss of Clarence. God gave him many gifts and he used each and every one of them to the utmost. He was such a kind and gentle man who had such faith in God. So many people will miss him. We thank God for knowing him.

When our Grandpa brought us to the TOTS games Clarence always greeted us with a smile and chatted with us. Then he would blow the "Cow" horn on his beloved truck and that would make us smile! We will miss such a gentle man.

I never had the pleasure to have met Clarence. But felt I knew him very well via my many bike rides with Marge. I could hear the pride in her voice Marge had for her Dad. It was a real testament to Clarence to see all the Tucson Olde Timers at the Funeral Mass at St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church. Hopefully you are able to find comfort in the knowledge that he still has eye on the baseball playing on the heavenly team without pain!

While I was at St. Vincent de Paul, Clarence was one of our devoted volunteer carpenters who came weekly to help us repair damaged merchandise. I will always remember his cheerful greeting and wholehearted willingness. The world has lost a fine man.

I live in Saratoga, NY but played baseball occasionally with the Tucson Olde Timers. It was an honor to meet Clarence. He will be missed by his baseball family. Jay Hayner
