John David "Sebastian" KUNZ

KUNZ, John David      "Sebastian" JD Kunz, known as Sebastian to his friends and fans, passed away peacefully at Peppi's House on September 30, 2017. He was 42 years old and bravely fought sarcoma for the last two and a half years. Born April 14, 1975 in Yuma, AZ, his family moved to Tucson when he was three. He attended Bloom, Magee, and Sahuaro High School. JD graduated from the University of Arizona with degrees in psychology and philosophy. He vigorously pursued his love of radio broadcast journalism while working in Arizona, Kansas, and California, before discovering a talent for teaching English to students all over the world, via the internet. He also volunteered at Sun Sounds of Arizona, a radio reading service for the visually impaired. JD is survived by his parents, David and Susan Kunz and sister, Lindsey Kunz. Also aunts and uncles, Betsy (Ron) Graves, Diane Kunz, Julie Ernsberger and George Kunz. His greatest passions included anything Star Trek or Disney and Code Red Mt. Dew, also technology gadgets, dogs, cats and a newly discovered talent for gardening. JD will be greatly missed by his family and many friends. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Donations may be made in his name to Peppi's House or a charity of your choice. Arrangements entrusted to BRING'S BROADWAY CHAPEL.
