Jon Edward DEPKA

DEPKA, Jon Edward born January 8, 1939 began his peaceful journey home August 17, 2017 surrounded by his loving family. He was born and raised in Wisconsin to Edward and Elizabeth Depka. He was a faithful Green Bay Packer and Arizona Wildcat fan. Preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Gerald and sister, Patricia. He is survived by his wife, Lilly; daughters, Debbie (Jaime) Rendon, Deanna (Joe) Kennedy and Kimberly Defoor; grandchildren, Ricardo (Lindsay) Rendon, Gabriel (Raygan) Rendon, Joseph Kennedy and Brooke Logan; six great-grandchildren, sister, Margaret Kiechler; brother, Clifford (Loretta). He attended the University of Wisconsin and St. Mary's school of X-ray in Tucson. He spent many years as Director of Radiology at St. Joseph's Hospital. His commitment to the community was deep having served as President of the Lupus Foundation and Parish Council at Our Mother of Sorrows, officiated UA Track and field and coached youth baseball and basketball. Jon will be deeply missed by family and friends. Memorial Mass will be offered at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, October 21, 2017 at Our Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church, 1800 South Kolb Rd., Tucson. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Pima Council on Aging, or UofA Track and Field. Arrangements by BRING'S BROADWAY CHAPEL.
