Lorraine SNOW Obituary

SNOW, Lorraine Gillett Born in Richmond, California on November 7, 1928, she passed away peacefully at home in Tucson, Arizona on September 10, 2017, at the age of 88. She was the fourth of eight children born to Henry and Pauline Kerber. She graduated from Richmond High School in 1946 and married Kenneth Gillett in August of that year. They were married 44 years, until his death in 1991. They made their home in California until 1968 when they moved to Tucson, Arizona. She worked for Allstate Insurance Company after her children were grown. She has been an active member of Fountain of Life Lutheran Church since arriving in Tucson. Lorraine loved to play tennis and seven years after her husband passed away she met Richard Snow at Centre Court. They were wed in October of 1999 and were blessed to share their lives for eighteen wonderful years. She is preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Ken; sisters, Marie and Lydia and her brother, Ed. She is survived by her husband, Dick; daughters, Suzanne Metteer (Terry), Linda Rumsey (Bud), and Leslee Childress (Jim); grandchildren, Renee Shaw (Don), Mathew Weadock (Kresta), Leah Findtner (Rob), Andrew Hutchings, Ryan O'Connor and Shana O'Connor; siblings, Herm Kerber, Lillian Taron, Barbara Kerber and Sharon Barkulis; six stepchildren; seven step-grandchildren; eight great- grandchildren; five great- step-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Lorraine's greatest joy and devotion was her family and her Lord. Her unselfish love, caring, and compassion was extended to everyone that was privileged to call her friend. A Celebration of her life will be held at Fountain of Life Lutheran Church, 710 S. Kolb Rd., on Sunday, September 24, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. A reception will follow in the Family Life Center. Donations can be made in her name to Haven Totes in care of Fountain of Life. Arrangements by BRING'S BROADWAY CHAPEL.
