Patricia Jean "Pat" McGovern

Patricia Jean McGovern "Pat" Passed away May 5, 2014 in Tucson. Pat was born December 27, 1927 in Mattoon, IL and raised in Indianapolis by her parents, Edward and Alberta Sullivan. She moved to Tucson in 1948, where she met her husband-to-be, Tom, who died in 1991 after 41 years of marriage. Pat and Tom had seven children, Tom (Lorene), Mike (Debbie), Mark, Molly and Andy, who survive her, and Kevin and Terry, who preceded her in death. Her six surviving grandchildren, Shannon, Meghan, Whitney, Sydney, Garrett, Mischa and Nakai miss her greatly. Pat's brothers, Don and Ike and her sister, Ann have passed away, but siblings, Bill, Larry, Sheila and Colleen all survive her. After raising her own brood, Pat gave of her time by volunteering at Our Mother of Sorrows (OMOS) Parish, where she and Tom were charter members. Sincere thanks to Pat's caregivers, Helen, Marcela, Susan and Maria and to Hospice Family Care. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, May 10, 2014 at OMOS. A Rosary will be said at OMOS on Friday, May 9, 2014 at 5:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, Pat asked that donations be made to the OMOS Endowment Trust.
