Jack Long 83 years old, passed away at his home in Tucson, Arizona on May 21, 2014. He was born in Lincoln, Nebraska on October 20, 1930 and spent many years there. He was a farmer for a number of years but he felt his most productive years were as a city fire fighter in Lincoln, Nebraska before retiring to Tucson, Arizona. Jack is survived by his fiancé, Beverly Zalewski; brother, Robert Long from Lincoln, Nebraska and sisters, Betty Rains, Colorado Springs, Colorado, Irene Tucker, Indianapolis, Indiana and Willadene Hudson, Emporia, Kansas. He is also survived by many dear friends at Fellowship Square in Tucson, Arizona. Jack was truly a good, kind and loving man and will be sorely missed. He was truly one of the "Greatest Generation". A Memorial Service will be held at Fellowship Square, 10 N. Maguire Ave., Villa 1 Club Room on Tuesday, June 10, 2014 at 2:00 p.m.
