Robert (Bob, "Bud") Eugene Cattany 6/28/1928 - 12/14/2013 Born in Denver, CO, to Frank and Mildred Cattany, Bob graduated from the Colorado School of Mines with a degree in Mining Engineering. He served in the Army Corp. of Engineers from 1954 - 1956, after which time he moved his family to Tucson and attended the U. of A., earning a law degree and becoming one of the few mining attorneys in the state at the time. During the early 1960's, Bob served as president of the Tucson Junior Chamber of Commerce. As an entrepreneur, his business interests varied widely to include the exploration of various mining properties throughout the state, the creation of educational board games, the ownership of a local water theme amusement park, and the proprietorship of Tombstone's famed Oriental Saloon. He was also a lifelong member of the Elks Club. Robert is survived by his wife of 61 years, June Cattany; daughter, Susan and her daughters, Amanda (Bobby) Chavez and Mayu Gilman; daughter, Karen (Richard) Carnes and their children, Nathan, Sam, Cantrell, Susannah, Ben and Ezra; daughter, Elizabeth Garcia and her daughter, Olivia; son, Thomas (Valerie) Cattany and their daughters, Natalie and Nicole and three great-grandchildren, Dante and Caterina Carnes and Penelope Chavez. Robert appreciated the message of 'Desiderata' and strived to live his life accordingly. Memory eternal. Services will be private.
