Beth BRUNSO Obituary

BRUNSO, Beth Mari died unexpectedly on Monday, December 26, 2016 in Colorado at the age of 48. Beth, the youngest daughter of Dr. and Mrs. David Munger, of Tubac, AZ was born on February 11, 1968 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Beth graduated from Sahuarita High School in 1986 and NAU in December of 1991 with a degree in Elementary Education. She moved to Durango, CO in 1992 which had been her home since. She taught 4th grade at Park Elem. and was adored by her students and co-workers. Beth loved the outdoors and the area around Durango for hiking, running, biking and camping, especially during the summer, which was her favorite time of year. Her family meant the world to her and was always her priority as she put her own needs aside to tend to those of others. Beth was an exceptional cook and baker, skills she learned from her mom and the kitchen was her "happy place." Beth had a never ending passion for life and savored each and every day spent with family and friends. Her outgoing and fun personality was infectious and put people at ease no matter what the circumstance. Beth was an extremely giving and selfless person and never looked for recognition or anything in return. She was able to touch many lives and leave a lasting impression on those lucky enough to know her. Beth is survived by her husband, Sven; son, Stowe and daughter, Aspen of Durango, CO; her parents, David and Janice Munger of Tubac, AZ and her siblings, Brad (Carla), Molly (Kevin), Mindy (Matt), Max (Katie) and her 11 nieces and nephews, all of Arizona. There will be a Celebration of Beth's life this summer in Durango, CO. In lieu of flowers, her family asks that donations be made to "Donor Alliance" in Beth's name as Beth continued to give, even after death, by being an organ donor.
