Charles Cuttill Obituary

Charles E. "Charlie" Cuttill age 77, of Janesville, formerly of Tucson, crossed over to be with his Maker on Friday, April 8, 2011 after a two year battle with cancer. He was born November 18, 1933 in Chicago, IL to the late Francis R. and Bertha L. (Harlan) Cuttill. Charlie retired from General Motors Corp. in 1988 after 32 years. Upon his retirement, he moved to Tucson where he resided until he and his wife Patricia "Misty" Pate Cuttill moved back to Janesville to be closer to his family in 2010. Charlie loved singing karaoke and spending time with his family and friends he made along life's journey. He worked as a custodian at the University of Arizona in Tucson and acted as a touyr guide at the San Xavier Mission in Tucson. He was proud of his Cherokee ancestry and participated as a gourd dancer in many of the Indian ceremonial dances at the Mission, as well as throughout Arizona and the Midwest. He became a Cherokee Elder in 2010. During his lifetime, he was always in search of the perfect adventure. Among other things, he enjoyed prospecting in the Hills of Arizona, hiking in the desert, beading and traveling. He loved life and enjoyed it to the fullest! He is survived by his beloved wife, Patricia "Misty", his five children from his first marriage, Cindy (Mark) Walker, Charles (Debra) Cuttill, Carla Bosma, Cheryl (Ron) White and Carryn (Tom) Steinbeck; his former wife and dear friend, Frances J. (Dorsey) Cuttill of Tucson, AZ and their two sons, Chris (Eileen) Cuttill of Baltimore, MD and Robin Cuttill, of Tucson; 20 grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren. He also had three cherished dogs, Cherokee, Bambi and especially his little chihuahua, Princess. Funeral Services were held on Monday, April 11, 2011 at the WHITCOMB-LYNCH-ALBRECHT FUNERAL HOME, JANESVILLE. Memorials in Charlie's name would be appreciated to the San Xavier Mission School, 1950 W. San Xavier Rd., Tucson, AZ 85746. www.whitcomb-lynch-albrecht.com
