Our Condolences to The Family of a National Hero Colonel Macia .
It was an honor to have met Col.Macia when I served at SAC Hq. In Omaha,Nebraska and again while serving in San Antonio in the early 1970's. Before I join the US Air Force, I had read and been fascinated
with the Bravery of all those Airmen on a practically suicide Mission to go bomb Japan early-during World War II. The Col.Doolittle Raiders',were volunteers,to go bomb Japan knowing there was 'No Return'. Those airmen knew they had fuel to reach Japan and drop their bombs at their respected targets but they also knew they would not have enough fuel on those Air Planes to make it back. There only hope was to complete there mission and fly-away just far enough for safety. All the Planes crashed landed somewhere or were dished in the ocean; some Airmen made it other didn't. Col.Macia , was one of those brave Airmen that made it.That was Bravery at it finest and at it's Highest.
So God, rewarded him with a wonderful family and a long-life plus many other accomplishments. Col.Macia, made us proud to be Americans and to Always
Be Faithful...Trusting in The Lord.
