This is to you Dan,

You were a classy gentleman with a wonderful sense of humor; and, while you tried to appear tough, you had a generous and loving heart and soul. You are missed!

I knew Dan for such a short period of time when my two children and I visited Arizona. Dan opened his heart and his home to us, and we sincerely appreciated his generosity and "style". Heaven is even a better place now with Dan's presence. May he rest in peace.

Dear Dan,
You always called me the "Queen of Ft. Lowell". You were always a dear friend, all the years we worked next to each other on Ft. Lowell. You are sorely missed. Love from Lyle & Ro

We've known Dan as neighbor and friend since 2004. I will always remember his laugh, his generous spirit, and (for humor's sake) the time he arrived an hour early for a party. We did have fun. His sudden passing has stunned me, and I know I will miss and remember him for a long time. Ardie Stone

Dan Dan the Seven Eleven Man

That's the first thing I remember about meeting Dan 25 years ago. That and his crazy laugh, dry sense of humor and his El Camino. We all spent many hours together at the Plank House/Mama Louisa's, tennis tournament and just hanging out. Always a gentleman.

We will miss him very much.

Rudy,
I loved the wedding picture of Dan & Alice that you submitted to the online photo album ... thank you so much! Since I met Dan only five years ago, I really enjoy seeing photos from his younger days. For those of you who lost touch over the years, I have some wonderful pictures of the 70' something handsome gentleman I knew. If I can just figure out how to get them onto my computer and to this website, I'll do so. In the meantime, I would be happy to send copies to any of you who contact me. These guest book entries are a lovely way for us to share memories of Dan. He would be so pleased.

Oh, what fun we had! And for so many years. Personally, I think Dan should be declared a "Tucson Treasure" and perhaps a small plaque placed somewhere near what used to be the Plankhouse honoring his 'mayorship' of that old hangout. His wit and kindness will be long remembered and much missed. He left too soon. Cheers, Dan.

Dan and I spent the last five years of his life together and I cared for him after his stroke, last May, until his death. If any of you would like a recent photo and/or information about a planned get-together to celebrate his life (sometime in March), feel free to contact me. He was my very best friend and I loved him deeply.

Dan was a good friend. We spent a lot of time together 25-30 years ago. Although we lost contact the last few years, I was very sorry to hear of him leaving us. Please contact me when there's more information about the memorial get-together.
