Daniel Albert MCWILLIAMS Sr.

MCWILLIAMS, Daniel Albert, Sr. Died on January 8, 2017. Danny was 83 years old. He died at home quietly. Shirley, his wife of 64 years was at his bedside. He was born in Shamokin, PA to Warren and Laura Evelyn (Heckman) McWilliams. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Charlotte. Also by two sons, David died on March 24, 2014 and Danny Jr. died December 19, 2014. This was very difficult for him. He is survived by his brother, Albert; and sister, Sally. He is survived by his loving wife, Shirley (Weidner); and son, Donald; daughters, Doreen and Deborah; granddaughters, Alysha, Kathryn, Brigette and Lela and Rachael; grandsons, Brandon, Kyle, Christopher and twins, Nicholas and Anthony; great-grandchildren, Emilee, Eli and Ayden. Dan was in a hospital bed in the middle of the living room facing the T.V., he enjoyed old westerns. Dan had Parkinson's Disease with mild dementia. He died of a stroke and Atrial Fib. He loved Elvis (saw him four times) and Big Band music. He liked tinkering with old clocks. He liked reading. His favorite go to book was "Sermon on the Mount". He had a real liking for locomotives. That through a grandfather who was a conductor on Reading RR. He would take Dan's bike and put it on the train with Dan to Pottstown. Dan would ride to a relative there. He spent many happy times at Golden Pin Lanes bowling on teams with a bunch of nice guys. He met his loving wife, Shirley, at a luncheonette in Pottstown, PA. Dan was working at the Bethlehem Steel Plant in the drawing room in Pottstown, Dan and Shirley went to Washington, D.C. with a couple of friends and their two children. They decided to visit Alexandria, VA. Just then decided to marry. Rush for license and got married in the First Baptist Church. Perfect, he said, "Yes", when outside. Dan was one of the owners of Monarch Steel Fabricators in Tucson. There will be a Celebration of Life when relatives from out of town arrive. Dan chose Science Care. Thank you Science Care.
