Derek CLARK

CLARK, Derek Passed away at home in the loving arms of his family on April 11, 2017. Born in Croydon, England January 11, 1942. Derek arrived on America's doorstep in March 1980 eager to begin his new life where the opportunities were endless and the sun was shining. The day he passed he left his beloved home with the sun shining bright on his face. Derek established Lindel Engineering in 1988 and later founded Phase lll Powder Coating. He took great pride in providing quality and support to everyone that sought his help in manufacturing or problem solving. His honor and dedication to you lay in his handshake. In his retirement he could often be found on the golf course, which was about the only time he could be persuaded to go out in the rain. We will miss the joy he found in life, his puns and most of all, his love. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Nicola Dorn and his son, Neil Clark. Survived by his loving wife, Lynn; children, Kim Klingberg (David) and Richard Grolla (Elizabeth); grandchildren, Michael Cutshall, Jayci Rattay, Emily Dorn, Hayley Grolla, Alec Clark and great-grandson, Theo Rattay; brother, Gordon Clark (Gill); nieces, Sarah Davie and Andrea Pearce and nephew, Tim Clark; great-nieces and nephews and many cousins living in England. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to honor his memory to the Alzheimer's Association of America, American Heart Association or charity of your choice. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, April 29, 2017 at Hacienda del Sol in the Casa Feliz room from 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. Reception to follow service.
