Don Redondo Obituary

Don Luis Durazo Redondo Hi Dad. Its been another year. I bet you were happy to lay eyes on my Uncle Henry and know that he is finally at rest. I'm sure Alice came running to him and that they had a long overdue embrace. Knowing how much pull you have up there I'm sure you arranged for Juan Gabriel backed by some great mariachis to greet him with a song. I really loved him and was so glad I got to see him before he took the trip. My Uncle Lalo says you been talking to him, telling him how wonderful it is where you are. I'll go see him soon. Now John Glenn, the great American hero and "The Greatest" Muhammad Ali are there. I remember you were darn good with your fists but I highly recommend that you give Ali his space. Hard to believe its been 21 years Jefito. I remember how much I enjoyed having a meal with you. You made salsa that was so hot that you sweated buckets and had to use a towel to wipe your face. I still have one of your tiny airplanes made from a spark plug and the goofy big bird you made from the spade of a shovel is sitting in the back yard. Do you remember telling me English jokes in Spanish? They didn't translate well. I miss your sense of humor but you left me with one of my own. You left me with so many gifts that have served me all my life. My mom is almost 90, and as you would say "She still has all her marbles". I remember that when you thought somebody was off their rocker you would say, "Bobby that guy has bats in his belfry". Make sure to tell my Uncle Henry how much I love him and make sure he has a warm and soft place to lay his head at night. I have to stop now because I can hear you saying "Mijo don't cry". I miss you pop, but I know you are always with me. Adios Jefito. Te quiero mucho. Bobby

Hi Bobby my name is Rosie and for 21 years I have been reading every message you write for your beloved Dad. It brings tears and smiles because you remind me a little of myself. You see I lost my Pops on 5/17/95 and this year will be 22 years. I also lost my Mom on 8/24/2013 and now I am left an orphan in this world. I do write messages for both of them as well, but I have to say you have me beat on all the details. I look forward to reading your message every year. I print them and I have them saved so I can read them later on. I hope one day I have the pleasure of meeting you. So I can share my beautiful memories of my pops with you. God Bless you and your Mom take care of her. I miss both my parents everyday, I go every weekend to Holy Hope Cemetery rain or shine I am there visiting them. Rose Vega

I love your love for your dad! Your parents obviously raised you right, so he, and your Uncle Henry, are looking down with pride and smiles on their faces. Thanks for sharing your memories of a great dad.
