Dona Jane Fowler Goodnight WILSON

WILSON, Dona Jane Fowler Goodnight, was born May 8, 1928 in Muncie, Indiana. She graduated from Muncie Central High School, attended Ball State University and graduated from Purdue University in 1955. She practiced nursing in Muncie and Lafayette, Indiana and Jacksonville, Florida. She attended medical school in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and worked at Eli Lilly Co. as an analytical chemist. After receiving a Master"s (1962) and doctorate (1965) degree from Purdue, she began her teaching career in the biology department of Western Michigan University. Dr. Wilson was nationally and internationally known for her work in brain chemistry. Later she was an active member of Biological Science Society,as well as the Societies of Biomertology and Chronobiology. Upon retirement Dr. Wilson moved to her ranch in the Chiracahua Mountains and then Tucson. As a Tucson resident, she was a member of The West, a charitable corporation and shop. She produced award winning embroidery. She was also a swimmer with master's clubs and was recognized as a good amateur cook. At her request, there will be no services.
