To the Forte Family,
I live across the street from Eleanor's house in Tucson. When I look at her home it fills me with sadness. No more will I see her rushing off to tai-chi class, will never see her working in her yard, dragging bushes and various junk to the curb for garbage pick-up, will never be able to share a cup of coffee again on my front porch.
Only a month ago she was full of cheer and hope. I learned a lot watching her prevail over almost every obstacle life threw at her. Now, however, she has no more burdens and is finally resting in peace. I will miss her very much.

I met Eleanor in Tucson at Adult Loss of Hearing Association (ALOHA) where Eleanor was helping us hard of hearing (HOH) individuals choose appropriate phone equipment. She worked at COPD which helps DEAF but Eleanor was able to help not just the Deaf but HOH as well. We'll miss her greatly. Rest in peace Eleanor!

Eleanor, when I think of you I see your beautiful salt and pepper curls and your infectious laughter! You were always so joyful...I am blessed to have crossed paths with you.

Dear Eleanor! I will always remember your kind heart of service, support and welcoming attitude the times our paths crossed at COPD. I can see the Lord's beaming smile as He welcomed YOU into eternity with Him, saying, "Well done, good and faithful servant!"

A friend is someone we turn to when our spirits need a lift.
A friend is someone we treasure for their friendship is a gift.

Eleanor we miss you dearly. My family was blessed to have you in our life. The boys planted a garden for you this weekend. You would be so proud of them and I told them so.
At work today, in honor of your birthday, we are wearing purple. We are planting a tree for you in the front of the building and sharing your favorite gelato afterwards.
I miss you so much already. I know you will always be in my heart and i will see you in each breeze that rings the windchime and in each light in the night sky. You were a wonderful and loving friend. Rest in peace my dear sweet friend.
