Florence Graham Obituary

Florence Jean Graham Joined our Lord on March 9, 2011. She was born on April 21, 1922 in Farley, Iowa to Chester and Luella Baker. She attended the University of Dubuque and obtained her teaching degree and then moved to Springville, Iowa where she met and married William Graham on March 10, 1946. Florence was a devoted wife and mother and provided support and comfort to those around her. She taught elementary school, tutored children and volunteered for the Boy Scouts and many other church-related groups. She and her husband traveled the country and she loved the beaches of Florida, watching waves, porpoises and collecting shells. Her joy was infectious and her love enduring and she will be greatly missed here on earth. She is survived by her husband, William Graham; her daughter, Barbara Droste; her son, Steve (Jill) Graham; granddaughter, Kristen (Adam) Brown; grandson, Zach Graham; sister, Georgia Smith; brother-in-law, Robert (Ida) Graham; nieces, nephews and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, John Baker and an infant brother. Her body will be cremated and her ashes held to be joined at a later date with her husband's ashes. At a date decided upon by Our Lord, a private service will be arranged. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you donate to the American Lung Association in her memory. Arrangements entrusted to DESERT SUNSET FUNERAL HOME.
