George Zoritch world famous dancer and teacher, born 1917 in Moscow, Russia, died on November 1, 2009 after a fall in his home at the age of 92. A principal dancer with the Ballet Russe de Monte Carlo and many Hollywood films, he settled in Tucson to teach dance at the University of Arizona from 1973 to 1987. There will be a Memorial gathering held in the studio where he taught for 14 years at the University of Arizona, located in the Ina Gittings building on campus, on Sunday, December 6, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. All are welcome.
