Gladys M. Archer May 31, 1917 - May 16, 2013 TUCSON Gladys Archer (nee Lawrence), a long time resident of the Tucson area, died Wednesday, the 16th of May, 2013 at Handmakers Care Facility. Born in 1917 in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, Gladys married Clyde Archer in 1947 and moved to Blaine, Washington. A recreational vehicle vacation through the southern USA brought Gladys and Clyde to their new found home in Tucson Arizona in 1972. After the passing of Clyde in 1981, Gladys remained in her Tucson home until recently. Admired for her "fashion savvy" Gladys always ventured out in style. Creative at heart, she loved the desert as shown in her many oil paintings she created. She committed a long time membership to the Order of the Eastern Star in two Chapters, Blaine, Washington and Tucson, Arizona. Gladys is survived and sadly missed by her niece, Elizabeth Lawrence-Grinti of Vancouver, BC, Canada.
