During his early years, Glenn lived in Duluth and St. Paul, MN until his high school senior year when his family moved to Evanston, Ill. He enlisted in the Army Air Corps in September 1943 and served during World War II as a tail gunner on a B-17 in the 8th Air Force, 452nd Bomb Group, 731st Squadron, at Deopham Green England. Glenn was the last surviving member of his crew. After the war, he enrolled at the University of Illinois in 1946 and graduated from the School of Commerce in January 1950. He was a member of Phi Kappa Psi (Delta) Fraternity. He and Barbara along with infant son, Glenn III, moved to Tucson in 1952 where he worked as a buyer for Steinfeld's department store until going into business with John Werstler, his brother-in-law. They started a small home furnishing store which eventually grew to stores on the east and central Tucson areas. In 1972 Glenn left the business and became an independent insurance broker with clients primarily in south eastern Arizona. Over the years, he was a member of the 20/30 club, Skyline Country Club, El Con Club, American Legion, USGA and other organizations. He got his private pilot's license while attending U of I in 1949 and had the joy and privilege of flying with the late Jim Stevenson. Although he enjoyed tennis, his love was golf and chalked up three aces. Both of his parents were avid golfers and instilled this passion to their son. Arrangements by BRING'S MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 236 S. To Debbie and Glenn:
I wish we all had spent more time together and gotten to know each other better over the years. I remember when we all met in Winona to visit Grandma. I have vivid memories of those times. Please try to stay in touch. Your dad was a wonderful person and I will miss our emailing back and forth. I am sure your memories of him will help you stay strong during this difficult time.

Barbara,
How sad I was when reading that Bud passed on. I worked with him at Midland Mutual for several years. He was a great guy. My best to you from myself and my husband Bill.
